The most important reason is the wrong cap size. If the lace wig is larger than your head, the hair on both sides cannot fit your scalp, it will look big. On the other hand, if the size of the wig is too small, the wig will not be able to cover your hairline and will easily slide outwards. As long as the size of the wig is not the same as your head's, no matter how you wear it, it will be useless. Then let's talk about how to choose a perfect fit wig.
How to measure?
1) Using a tape measure
A flexible, portable ruler fits the scalp better when measuring the circumference of the head, resulting in more accurate measurements.
2) Organize your hair
Just like you are preparing to wear a wig: tie your hair into a low ponytail in advance or put your hair down, wear a wig cap, make sure your hair matches the style of your wig; start measuring your head.
3) Main measurements and measurement methods
Circumference: Measure the length from the forehead and hairline, passing through the ears, around the head.
Front and Nape: Measure the length from the forehead hairline position through the top of the head to the hair roots on the back of the head.
Ear to ear over top: Measure the length from the top of one ear through the top of the head to the top of the other ear with tape.
To get the accuracy of the value, you can measure 2-3 times and take the middle value.
How to choose cap size?
After the measurement, I believe you already found out your head size, the next step is to choose the wig you want.
If you want lace front wigs, you can choose the small, medium, or large cap by comparing the measurements result with the value in the picture below.
If you want a lace part wig or U part hair wig, pls choose a medium cap when your circumference is ≤22.5inches
